Nursing: observe and report changes in a client’s condition, arrange trips to the doctor, pick up prescription drugs, accompany clients on medical appointments, document client’s food and/or liquid intake or output, remind clients to take medication, and assist with self-administration of medication, teach and supervise self-care to clients receiving personal care or nursing services, teach personal care and nursing procedures to family members and other supporters, perform nursing assessments, perform nursing treatments and procedures (ex. infusion therapy services) as outlined and in accordance with the client’s service plan, provide personal care when the assessment process specifies that it is warranted by the condition of the client, teach and supervise personal care assistants/certified nurse assistants, provide personal care tasks and perform delegated nursing tasks, and initiate referrals to other health professionals and agencies.
